The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, also known as the Kuranda Skyrail, is billed as Australia’s Best Major Tourist Attraction and has the intriguing tagline “The World’s Most Beautiful Rainforest Experience”. Spanning 7.5km over pristine rainforest that was once part of a contiguous forest covering the whole Australian continent, this attraction near Cairns and Port Douglas shows off the beauty of some of the oldest rainforest growths in the world.
The Skyrail brings the rainforest to otherwise city-pampered tourists who have never appreciated the diversity and rawness of a rainforest. It’s an excellent experience for teaching ecological awareness as well.
360techph was able to capture a taste of this attraction using our Ricoh Theta, presenting to our readers the next best thing to actually visiting Cairns and taking the 2 and a half hour round-trip tour. For the full experience, visit our Facebook page where you can use its panoramic display feature.
For interested parties, the operation can be found at Captain Cook Highway & Cairns Western Arterial Road, Smithfield QLD 4878, Australia, andmore details can be found on their website – found here.
