Own a Rift? Then you need to know about Oculus’ accessories store.
Long awaited and warmly welcomed, Oculus’ announcement finally lays to rest owners’ worries that there won’t be any official store carrying original Rift replacement parts, and they would be stuck with 3rd party suppliers whose products might or might not be well-integrated into the Oculus product, or stuck with jerry-rigged solutions.
Oculus’ store is starting with four essential replacement parts: the Oculus Remote ($29), a 4 meter headset cable ($49), the Oculus On-Ear Headphone($39), and the “Oculus Rift Fit” ($29)- the Rift “facial interface” padding for the headset.
These four items are available on top of other accessories for the Rift such as additional sensors and the earphone, which at $49 is strangely more expensive than the more substantial on-ear headphones.
